Welcome!
My name is Jessie Laurenzi and I am the founder of Dandelion Counseling, LLC and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My studies emphasized working with couples, families, and clients with trauma. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR and based out of Madison, Wisconsin. I believe in the importance of offering mental health services that meets people where they are at.
Behind the name
I chose the name Dandelion to represent my counseling practice because dandelions are resilient. They grow in the toughest of conditions, such as sidewalk cracks, and are often viewed as weeds that disrupt the environment around them. However, dandelions show strength and perseverance by adapting to their environments. They add a pop of bright color to an oftentimes bland landscape. This analogy can help those with trauma or difficult life experiences understand that they are not weeds and are capable of growth and resilience.
My approach
I founded Dandelion Counseling LLC with the belief that everyone is deserving of receiving supportive and non-judgmental mental health services. I value treating clients as human beings that are cable of learning, growth, and resiliency regardless of life experiences. I value working collaboratively with clients and meeting them where there are at in life. I strive to treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
